Destination wedding photographer, editorial photoshoot, Candia Daniela Guadalajara and Mexico City Wedding Photographer

Welcome to my space. I truly hope with all my heart that you are fully enjoying your wedding planning process and that the end result is exactly what you have always dreamed of.

Almost three years ago, I decided to start this project as a wedding photographer in Guadalajara, Mexico City, and destination locations right after a bad experience working for a massive corporation. When I left, I understood why I didn't fit in: I have no interest in offering a mass-produced service where human empathy and real connection are lost. What does this have to do with weddings? Everything! When I meet couples who share my values, I know I've reached the right place.

I firmly believe that you should feel completely comfortable with the person who will be right beside you on one of the most important days of your life. That is why I want to tell you exactly how we work together from day one:

1. The First Touchpoint

It almost always starts the same way: you saw one of my ads or the algorithm brought you to me, you browsed through my profile out of curiosity, and—to be absolutely sure I’m a real person—you stalked my social media. (That is why all my profiles are public, so you can look into me. I only have my personal Facebook linked to the business, and my official TikTok and Instagram under my brand name; if you find another Candia Daniela, it’s almost certainly not me!). You might have also read a review on Google or in recommendation groups.

2. Custom Quotes and Venue Logistics (Guadalajara, CDMX, and Destinations)

Depending on how you are planning your wedding, I will send you my standard price list or we will put together a custom proposal. To do that, I will always ask you a few key questions:

What is your wedding date? This helps us avoid sending generic pricing lists if I am already booked for that day.

What is the exact address of your venue? And yes, I do need the exact location. My operational base is in Guadalajara. If your wedding is in a destination that requires travel the day before, I need to check the logistics to ensure there are no scheduling conflicts with another event. Furthermore, some locations (such as certain coastal areas) have complex vehicle access, or we need to factor in traffic times, parking, or the closest lodging according to the timeline.

What is most important for you to document? Some couples want to capture everything starting from the getting ready stage, others focus only on the ceremony, while some opt for an intimate dinner with a small guest list. Knowing this helps us determine whether a standard package or a custom proposal is best for you.

3. The Video Call (Our Vibe Check)

After sending over the information, I usually suggest a quick video call. The reason is simple: I want us to interact and see if our energies click.

You like my work (that’s why you reached out), but if something in the vibe doesn't flow, that is your sign to stop. This is the single most important filter when choosing your photographer.

On my profile, you will find several videos of actual video calls with couples where you can see how we plan the engagement session and agree on the itinerary days before the wedding. By the way, that is how I interact with couples, and I will always ask for your permission before recording or sharing any of that content on my social channels.

4. Signing and Planning!

If you decide to move forward, I will draft your digital contract so we can review it together, clear up any questions, and proceed with the deposit. At that point, we will set up a WhatsApp group to stay in touch, share ideas, and refine every single detail.

5. The Vow Session (Our Pre-Wedding Session)

Our first in-person meeting will be during your pre-wedding shoot, which I have named The Vow Session. I hate generic photos, so I will ask you more personal questions about your story, your tastes, and how adventurous you are willing to be to capture images that truly represent who you are.

If you notice that I've updated our group with a photo of you, it only means one thing: I am just minutes away from delivering your complete gallery.

If you have seen some of my content, you already know that I don't jump on passing trends, especially when it comes to editing. The tones and colors you see so repeatedly on social media today seem normal because the algorithm trained us to expect them, but in a few years, you will look back at your photos and wonder why they feel so dated (just like what happened back in the day with the famous sepia filter). My goal is for your photographs to breathe timelessness.

6. The Big Day and Delivery

After our pre-wedding session, our WhatsApp group will drift quiet for a little while until we pick communication back up one month before the wedding to finalize the timeline: arrival times, initial coverage, lighting conditions at the church or venue, the first look, the first dance, and any special moments.

The day before your wedding, you will receive a message from me confirming that we will see each other at the first meeting point according to our schedule.

After this journey together, all that will be left is to thank you, hand you over to enjoy the rest of your celebration, and—you've been warned—record one final social media story with zero glamour left.

Then, all that remains is waiting for your gallery delivery, and if you love the result, a Google review with your favorite photo will be received with all my heart.

I know this post turned out a bit long, but I prefer total transparency from day one. I hope we get to work together very soon and that you become part of this brand as it continues to grow year after year.
